【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversreinforcedellipticallyshapedconcretepipetobeusedfortheconveyanceofsewage,industrialwastes,andstormwater,andfortheconstructionofculverts.1.2Pipedesignedforplacementwiththemajoraxishorizontalshallbedesignatedasx201C;HorizontalEllipticalPipe.x201D;Pipedesignedforplacementwiththemajoraxisverticalshallbedesignatedasx201C;VerticalEllipticalPipe.x201D;1.3Thisspecificationistheinch-poundcompaniontoSpecificationC507M;therefore,noSIequivalentsarepresentedinthespecification.Note18212;Thisspecificationisamanufacturingandpurchasespecificationonly,anddoesnotincluderequirementsforbedding,backfill,ortherelationshipbetweenfieldloadconditionandthestrengthclassificationofpipe.However,experiencehasshownthatthesuccessfulperformanceofthisproductdependsupontheproperselectionoftheclassofpipe,typeofbeddingandbackfill,andcarethattheinstallationconformstotheconstructionspecifications.Theownerofthereinforcedconcretepipespecifiedhereiniscautionedthathemustcorrelatethefieldrequirementswiththeclassofpipespecifiedandprovideinspectionattheconstructionsite.
