【摘要】:ThisstandarddefinesaCommandLineInterface(CLI)forastoragenetworkingmanagementutilityprogramthatisequivalenttotheIPNetworkingPingfunction.TheCLImaybedirectlyusefultostoragemanagementpersonneloritmaybeaccessedviaotherapplications(e.g.,anSMI-SClient).WheneverSM-HBAdefinesneededunderlyingfunctions,theyarereferenced.Wherenecessary,anunderlyingAPIisdefinedformanagementinterfacefunctionsthatarenotprovidedbyotherstandards.ThefunctionalitydefinedbytheSNPingapplicationmayusefullybeseparatedintotwocomponents,namelyaParserfortheCLI,andanAPIProvider.ThisseparationwillsimplifytheuseofSNPingbyotherapplications.Thisstandardisbasedontheinterfacelayeringshowninfigure1.
